Stafford Manor School Library

In our Library, we encourage the love of reading and a positive attitude towards books, whether for pleasure or for study. Our stock of books caters for many different tastes and interests and we aim to help students become life-long learners by supporting independent learning.

All levels of ability and different types of learners are supported; to that end Library staff are on hand to help students and staff with queries and to recommend titles.

​

As well as being open every day we also actively promote reading by organising events such as author visits, competitions, a book club, book fairs and opportunities to buy books; we celebrate World Book Day annually.

​

The Library offers not just a resource collection but a central area in school for study during lesson times and relaxation space at lunchtimes and after school. Quiet independent study is encouraged but the Library is also regularly used as a teaching space for library and information skills.

• Monday - Friday 1.30 - 2.15 and 3.15 - 4 pm.​
